About Our Sacramento Orthodontics

Whether you’re curious if metal or ceramic braces are right for you, or if you’re simply learning to learn more about common orthodontic treatments, we’re happy to assist you however we can. Check out some of the following pages before scheduling your next appointment at one of our five offices!

  • Metal Braces – Metal braces are a common form of orthodontic treatment and likely to be the one you’re most familiar with. It’s a time-tested treatment that utilizes metal wires and brackets to shift a patient’s teeth into proper positioning.
  • Ceramic Braces – Ceramic braces are like metal braces except that the brackets are made of clear, ceramic material, offering a patient a more discreet form of orthodontic treatment.
  • Self-Ligating Braces – While very similar to metal and clear braces, this orthodontic treatment uses a special clip instead of rubber bands to guide teeth into alignment.
  • Invisalign Clear Aligners – Invisalign offers an alternative to traditional braces as it uses clear, removable aligners to straighten a patient’s teeth in a more discreet fashion.
  • Life with Braces – To help you through your daily life with braces, we’ve compiled a list of important things to know. From eating to regular maintenance, these tips should get you on the right track.
  • Brushing and Flossing – When wearing braces, daily oral hygiene requires a bit more care and effort than usual. Allow us to give you some tips on how to make brushing and flossing easier.
  • Palatal Expander – These are orthodontic devices that are used to widen a patient’s jaw.
  • Retainer Instructions – After your orthodontic treatment is over, you’ll need to wear a retainer to help ensure that your teeth don’t move back into unfavorable positions. We’ll teach you how to care for your retainer.
  • Emergency Care – While true orthodontic emergencies may be rare, we encourage you to read through our emergency section so that you’ll know what to do in case one of them occurs.
